MUMBAI, - Director Karan Johar says he will invite more fun-loving, talkative Bollywood movie stars to his successful talk show when it resumes later this month. Bollywood sex symbol Mallika Sherawat, whom he recently interviewed for the show titled "Koffee with Karan,'' was a delight since she "was full of answers, quotes and comments,'' Johar told the Mumbai-based DNA newspaper in an interview published Tuesday. Johar drew Bollywood's big names such as Amitabh Bachchan, his son Abhishek Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta during the show's first season, and it was a huge hit when it ended in May last year.
I like guests who are easy, chatty and mad. Bollywood celebrities agreed to come on his show because they trust him, he said. "Everyone comes because they trust me.
They know that I'd never offend them on TV, he said. "I'd never cross the line. I'd push the envelop but never tear it.
'' Johar's Bollywood credits include "Kabhi Alvida Na Kahna,'' or "Never Say Goodbye,'' "Kabhi Khushi, Kabhi Gham'' or "Sometimes Happiness, Sometimes Sadness,'' and "Kal Ho Na Ho".
